About
What the design systems world is posting, filtered for signal and refreshed on its own.
Why I built this
Keeping up with design systems meant a lot of tabs. Bluesky for the conversation, Mastodon for the people who ended up there, a dozen blogs and newsletters, and a stack of GitHub release pages. I'd make the rounds every few days and still miss things.
Eventually I got tired of it, so I built this: one page that makes the rounds for me, every hour.
What's on it
Social collects what people are posting about design systems. Articles rounds up new writing from blogs and newsletters. Releases tracks new versions of design systems and the tools people build them with.
Before anything shows up, a filter throws out the junk: job bots, release bots, crypto pitches, ads. There's more of it than you'd think.
The rules it follows
Nobody writes anything here, me included. Every item comes from a public feed, and the site rebuilds itself.
Nothing sticks around for long. Once something is a few days or weeks old, it drops off.
You only get a short excerpt. The link takes you to the original, so the credit and the clicks go to whoever made it.
If someone has asked not to be shown publicly, their posts stay off the site.
Who it's for
Anyone who works on design systems, or near them, and would rather check one page than twenty. Most of the posts come from whoever happens to be talking about design systems that week.
Who made it
I'm Phillip Lovelace, aka pixelflips. This is a side project, so expect the odd rough edge. If something looks off, or you know a feed that belongs here, find me at pixelflips.com.
