Alma (6yrs) saw "$19.35" on an Amazon toy page and asked why there is a dot. I opened Figma and typed 1, 1.5 and 2 to explain how fractions work. After 15 secs of explaining, I paused and asked her: is it clear? She said: "just order it". I need to work on my teaching skills for kids. :D

Do games have the equivalent of design systems? I'm working on a word game now and trying to add "juice" and there's a lot to consider. Haptics (length, pattern), animation (easing curves, staggers) sounds (timbre, notes, motifs)

I don’t think I can design systems. Ever. I can build you a thing based on the similarities of what I built before. Or I can do a big number of experiments and re-build things over and over to get myself back to step #1. But I cannot just sit with pen & paper and think in abstract terms about a […]

Sustainable engineering begins with asking better questions: How can we reduce waste, use energy efficiently and design systems that last? Learning and experimentation help turn those questions into practical ideas. 🌱 #GalgotiasUniversity

Quick question for design system folks: where do your tokens live today? A. Figma variables B. In the code C. A spreadsheet D. All of the above Tell us in the replies. (D is more common than anyone admits.)

#Converge2026 was interesting, makes me want to go back to work and refine my design system more already. Of course AI was a big part of the talks considering how they can be fed design systems and documentation to build prototypes, the main thing to remember is to use it mindfully.

"What should the design system team build next?" Usually whatever the loudest person asked for. Nobody knows what gets used, detached or rebuilt. Heads of product: what does your system team measure, and has it changed what they built?
